GL550 vs LX570

GL550 vs LX570
Been running a single vehicle garage for the last 6 months and it's time to add a stable mate to my sedan.
Now, I know you guys may be biased but you also know your stuff so I'd like to know if either of you cross shopped the GL550 with the new LX570. Exactly the same engine output but the Lexus can seat 8. Both look good to my eyes and have nice wheels and many toys/
550 seems loaded while the LX570 costs the same after adding the Mark Levinson sound, which is the only option missing from basic.
The Escalade, Suburban and Yukon XL aren't in the running as neither can be trusted in tough conditions while the Range Rover is too old of a chassis and seats only 5.
I intend to test drive the 6000lb LX570 and the GL but would like to know why you came to your decision.
