Parktronic humor

Sorry, this was just too funny, I thought I'd share.

Last weekend I was at my nephew's house. We were trying to figure out something on his ipod and tried it in my GL450. When we did, the parktronic started to beep because his wife walked close in front of the GL. I told him about the parktronic.

When we were getting ready to leave later in the day, he was standing in front of the car annoying me by making the parktronic beep annoyingly. I quickly decided to inform him I still had control by pushing the headlight washer button. It didn't get him wet, but it startled him so much he almost fell down.

I then lowered the window and said "don't mess with the Mercedes or bad things will happen".

Where exactly IS the headlight washer button? I don't know where it is on my GL 320.

To the right of the headlight switch if you have the bi-xenons. MY08 doesn't get them anymore.

That's great - but bummer for those of us with the 08 - we can only activate the headlight washer on every 5th pull of the windshield washer system.

Damn, I find a great weapon for practical jokes and the disable it in MY08 by removing the button. Playing Russian Roulette on the 5 washes doesn't seem practical.

If it's at night you could blind him with bi-xenon high beams, or you could rev that 4.5L monster at him.

That's a good one, JimB. Thankfully, my kids haven't learned the "parktronic" trick yet. Of course, if they get too close I just give a honk and they jump back in fright

Just wait till they're older and then become smart asses and tell you that there is a Parktronic Off switch on the dash

I remember a couple of years ago on the ML forum on Benzworld.org where someone turned the headlamp washers around (just as a joke) so that they would spray forward heh.
