Thanks Oknish for the encouragement. I just reminesce about my black
'89 M5 where nearly all the leading edges were pitted and scored white from sandblasting, which is simething I wish to avoid... Back then 3M and chipgaurd was just being introduced.
Mercedes still can learn a lot from Lexus when it comes to customer satisfaction, its the small things that add up and make a big difference making Lexus #1 in customer satisfaction in the industry.
As for me, I'm still partial to German engineering, i.e. a vehicle built by drunk Germans, let me rephrase that a tad bit.....engineered by drunk Germans and built in America. Best of both worlds?

Oknish, is your chipguard simply folded underneath the hood underside or is it trimmed to the leading edge? See my hood underside photo where the chipguard is literally peeling back.

Stumblefoot's Chip Guard Job
Greul... I believe your hood job was done improperly. IMO, the installer should have cut it properly and not wrapped it underneath the hood.
I was able to get some better pictures tonight, so I've posted some of what mine looks like in different locations.
Lastly, my apologies to NJ for the dirt on my tires and in the wheel wells. That's about as clean as they get living on a dirt road.

- Front of hood
- Split where hood rakes toward grill
- Passenger mirror
- Front wheel fender
- Rear wheel fender

Gruel, another thing to remember is do not allow them to cut the film once it's on your car!! That will leave a nice line of paint removed at the edges of your film. I know, it sounds stupid, but with how your film was installed I wouldn't put anything past these installers! Be careful.

Thanks everyone for their updates, very very much appreciated. Car goes in on Monday and I'll keep everyone posted... And Steve your point is well taken, I will definately make sure they do it right. At this point the dealers reputation is on the line as several other local MB owners are anxiouly awaiting the outcome.
