Early service indicator
The service indicator is telling me I need Service A now at 9 months and 8400 miles. I found this thread in the SLK area:

I’m wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this. I’m assuming the dealer didn’t reset it when I bought it.

My experience on Service A indicator has been that it was based on time and not mileage. And, it seems the clock starts when car is built not when put in service. I would say have the dealer reset it to prompt you in another 3 months.

The dealer reset this the other week. I’ll take it in for A service when it’s due.
I finally got the rear hatch closing problem fixed as well. So far it works like it’s supposed to. Now I have to break the habit of standing there waiting to see if it’s going to close all the way.

I did this only when, for example, I was going in my home. If you hit the lock button on the key fob, when the rear hatch closes all the way you can watch the parking lights flash 3 times as you’re walking away. If you’re getting in the vehicle, there are a few ways it tells you something is wrong.
