That type of "service" on a GL is purely unacceptable. Did they even test drive it?

STP
There were 2 more miles on it than when I dropped it off. But I doubt they sat in the rear seats on watched a movie. The kids said it didn't do it on the way home but started yesterday while we were out.

I am thinking about taking it to another MB service department. What do you think? Should I stick with incompetent people and make them figure it out? Or jump ship and take it somewhere else?

Sorry about the double post. I have a MAC (enough said)

A) I jumped ship after three times to fix a front-end shimmy by one service department was followed by fixed right the first time by the second service department. If you have the option, it's like a second opinion at the doctor's; it's usually worth the peace of mind!

B) I had trouble posting today, too - the site was responding very slowly. Don't blame the Mac! I mean, Nevada Jack has one, so they must be good.

Yea, the site it sloooowwww for me too. I do love my MAC, but I don't think my MAC loves me. I get the rainbow pinwheel ALL the time.

Well, I think I will take it to the second dealer. We went out and about today and the DVD didn't do it. So I guess it is a watch and wait. As soon as it happens again I will make the appointment. I just hate to drive 2 hours to hear "we cant duplicate concern"

you know, I was tempted to call out that Mickey-Mouse operation last night, but it seemed to be too much of a groaner. Good to see STP take up my slack.

Hahaha! So maybe Walter's in Riverside is better I know Anaheim offers more perks for going there and their loaners are newer. But it doesn't really matter if they don't know how to fix cars.

Yep, IE girl here. I live up in the mountains I talked with Laguna Niguel when we were getting ready to purchase. They are a GREAT dealership. They even offered to bring the GL and paper work to me. That is pretty great. But, they weren't as willing to knock $$$ off as Anaheim was. Bummer is they are over 100 miles away from me. It might worth a trip if I can't get this resolved.

I've bought my cars from MBLN and they are simply awesome and they know I won't pay more than invoice lol. As for their service department, they are amazing and are pretty mod friendly too. They found problems with my E63 that I never even saw, so clearly they are heads on heels better than other Benz dealers. I have also had good experiences at House of Imports.

Thank you! I will have to look up House of Imports as well. I hate living so far from them.

Invoice is GREAT. MB of Anaheim knocked $10,000 off sticker over the phone. LN wanted to talk in person. I completely understand their reasonings, but with 3 kids under 10, phone/email deals are what are best for me. LOL!

In Newport? That is a thought too. Although, still a 2 hour drive for me, a definite thought. I love that there is more than one MB dealership within a few hours of me to chose from. Just wish the closest one would get it right!

ha that place is a joke. They couldn't properly replace my OEM Xenon headlights on a new E55. You are much better off at House of Imports or Laguna Niguel.

Have you tried the one in Escondido? I haven't dealt with their service but their sales was one of the best I have seen.

The only one I have tried so far is Anaheim. I think next will be Walter's in Riverside (they are closest) then from there?? Possibly House of Imports.
