Back in the Day (Diesel)

I got this picture as part of a "funny signs" email and noted the diesel #2 prices. How long ago do you think this was? Notice #2 is less than regular unleaded! (As it should still be!)

I don't know when that was Steve, but I do remember paying about $.25 gallon to fill up my Nova at Andrews AFB in DC...circa 1970. I also remember in August 1945 when gas rationing ended, my father paying somewhere between $.10 to $.20 a gallon to fill up his 1940 Pontiac which he drove through the war years.

Interesting, too, the two percent discount they used to give you for paying cash instead of credit. [Sigh]
