Ethanol in Gl 450?

I know you are suppose to run premium gas in the GL 450, but was wondering if it is ok to use 10%ethanol from time to time or regular gas from time to time or will it cause damage?

NO. The only E85 capable MBs are some of the C-Classes.

Junior, you really need to learn to read properly and not just what you think should be there.

Premium with 10% ethanol is going to be about the same exact price as 'normal' premium, hence I would avoid it unless you have to use it because you live in an area that only has a mix of 90% petrol/10% ethanol due to emissions concerns, etc.

If you are looking to 'save' a little money, using mid-grade fuel, (89 octane US), will have no ill effects, and I strongly doubt if you'll notice any decrease in performance and/or mileage.

I say this since on a couple of occasions we put 89 octane in my wife's Range Rover Sport S/C and it ran perfectly. In fact I could detect no difference in the way it 'ran' versus premium fuel, and remember it has a forced induction engine.

They wouldn't be squinty if you came out of that dark hole once in a while to see sunlight.
