I got the Ipod connector retrofitted to my GL. However, I just realized this weekend that I can no longer listen to the rear entertaintment system (dual monitors) through my vehicle speakers. Anyone have any solution around this?

You have to unplug the iPod then the sound from the DVD will come through your cars speakers.

I unplugged the ipod but still no sound. Is there anything else that has to change on the settings. Though it's important to note that I fitted the ipod kit recently, so the vehicle didn't come with it from the factory. I don't know if this should affect anything or not?

Hmm, mine was dealer added. Try hitting the radio button then the AUX soft key with the iPod unplugged.
