Earthquake

To all our MB friends in the LA area, we hope that the little trembler you experienced this afternoon did not damage any of your personal belongings (especially your GL) and that your family is safe and sound.

Thanks, Stumble. We are all OK but apparently my 450 did not like the quake. Everything was fine this AM when I got to work and parked it. I left, after the quake, to grab some lunch and lo n behold ABS/EPS are not working and Distronic and DSR are inoperable. Trip to dealer tomorrow.

Who would've thunk, huh?

Glad to hear you are all okay.

But, the more serious question is...

Do you think MB still makes parts for Distronic?

Sorry... I just couldn't resist.

Everything is good here, too. I rode my motorcycle to work today & my concern was that the bike was still standing. There were 5 motorcycles in the motorcycle parking area and all were standing.

That's good to hear!

Are you going to ride that puppy up to the Sturgis Rally this weekend? I don't know if you've ever been, but it is a constant party. Probably the only place on earth where CEO's rub elbows with gang bangers.

Not this year. We went in 2000 for our honeymoon and we're planning on going back in 2010 for our 10 year anniversary. Such romantics we are!!

On a conference call at work today, a fellow from TX greeted those in SoCal with a hearty "what's shaking, folks". He was bewildered by the guffaws that followed since he wasn't aware of the trembler at that time

We had some minor damage to our home in San Clemente. The stucco has some minor cracks according to my wife, but other than that nothing. Lesson: Don't build a house with smooth stucco lol.

BTW, my cars were safe

Glad to hear it's just some cosmetic damage. And, thankfully, those MB's are safe and sound too!
