GL550 Exhaust tip part #
I know ive seen a few talking about this but havnt seen any results. I need the part numbers for the rolled squared "dual-style" tips on the GL550. A local dealer wouldnt provide me with the number but quoted me $190.00 each side.

i tried this on two dealers from opposite sites on the globe US and Asia....sadly, you can only get the regular square tips as the quadtips only come with a muffler assembly. i dont know now, but thats what the dealers told me last january.

Well the rep at the parts dept. clearly stated they can sell me the tips but for $190 each side and I felt it was overpriced for a pair of tips. I saw how they bolt on and do not believe its only sold w/the muffler.

Right A 164 490 02 27
Left A164 490 01 27

They show on the schematic for the 550 - there's a picture with the split pipe and a part number. The numbers are pretty close to the 450 & 320 numbers, but I got this from the 550 sectino of the official MB parts/schematic online system.

08 GL450 / 08 S550 4matic
i paid $157 each for the gl550 tips when i was in car accident and smashed my 450 tips. simple to put on -- just a hex screw bolt on -- not part of muffler assbly -- a little bigger than orig but fits nicely
