My mac is the real leather. I don't find it much different than cleaning the MB Tex.
For the rear I bought a Canvasback liner for it and really like it. It covers every stich of carpet in the back. The color is about the same color as the darker brown in the Macadamia color scheme.

The way back - cargo area. It covers all the carpet, which when the back seats are up ends up being their back and when the seats are down it's the floor. I use the GL for tailgates at Lambeau field for Packer games (yes I'm a little disappointed tonight) and it's been great for putting grills, etc in there.
The company is Canvasback of Idaho. Not sure why Google doesn't list the weblink better, but it's http:7.199.105.166/

There is an old thread on mats and liners that has a lot of great info in it as well as pics.
Been there, done that. Adults end up losing that game

Thanks Nish, I will check out the thread on the mats and liners. I hear ya about losing the battle. I had a water only rule in my car until I stuck all 3 kids in it and drove them 16 hours to Montana

I think it comes down to whether you lease or purchase. We just went through this last week. The lease rates are the best on the '09 450 (as opposed to any '08's and the '09 550 or 320. We ran all the numbers and the '09 450 was the best lease deal. If you are going to purchase, obviously, you have to consider the deep discounts on the '08's. I was told the factory is giving $12,000 off.
The new Comand is pretty trick - don't have experience with the '08 though but this one is amazing. Love the car

What kind of lease rates/terms are you getting?
As an FYI, I once had a buyback situation with BMW and did not have to go through even a tenth of what you had to go through. In addition, they allowed me to order a vehicle with my specs (I ordered about an extra 4k of options) and let me use the buyback vehicle for the period until the new vehicle arrived. When I picked up the new vehicle, they did not charge me for a few jealous key scratches and the BIG one now: they reset the mileage on the lease to zero. So I had an additional 20k miles that i could drive the new vehicle over the remaining 26 months of the lease [the original lease was 36 months/45k miles, and I drove the vehicle for 20k miles when they gave me the new vehicle. When I picked up the new vehicle, they said I could drive it for 45k miles over the remianing term of the original lease which was 26 months. The lease payment remained the same.] The way they handled the entire buyback was quite a class act!

As far a a lease terms, I am embarrassed to say I do not know the rate but here is the deal they worked for me:
MSRP - $72,250
My price - $64,250
Total due at lease signing $8750
48 payments @ $710.29
Residual $26,000 (approx. I don't remember the exact number)
When I run the same deal on lease compare.com the payment comes out much higher.
My last GL had a MSRP of $68,910 and we got it for $62,910
my payments were $697.39 for 33 months. Residual was $41,346
I wish I knew more about leases so I knew if I was getting a good deal or not.
Financing on the 08 for 66 months my payment was close to $900

Thanks for the details. My initial reaction is that I think your deal may not be very good (and I don't mean that condescendingly, just in a helping way). They do not seem to be using MB Financial for the lease, judging from that residual (assuming a 15k miles/year lease). But you may not even have much bargaining power since you are stuck with this dealer. If you can provide your mileage and tax rate, I could do a quick lease calc.
Thanks for your help!!!!

fq1- Ok, I went back to leasecompare.com and read the instructions on how to calculate your payment. I entered all the same numbers, but increased our down payment (we had talked about it but didn't know the payment reflected it) Anyway, it all worked. I came up with a base payment of $659.57 which I remember seeing on the computer screen (yes he let us see the screen) I am not sure of the monthly sales tax/Use tax but with a payment of $710.26 it would have to be $50.72. I used the rate of 0.00094% to figure this all out. Does this seem right?
TIA!!!

Based on your numbers (for MSRP, sale price and down) the 48-mo lease payment should be 621 + tax and the 36-mo lease payment should be 607 + tax. So based on that the payment you are getting from the dealer is not off by much. However, instead of putting money down, why don't you consider putting it as Multiple Security Deposits which will decrease your payment but you will get it back at the end of the lease.

WOW! I pushed for that. I kept saying that I would just take a new vehicle and have them assign it to my lease. They insisted on the buy back

Yes, it is an 09. I am picking it up on Monday. I have to say the dealer is bending over backwards for me since one, they are replacing a lemon and want to keep my business, and two since they sold the first one I wanted they are having to eat it on this one because it is more than the first one I was going to buy, LOL!
