MY 08 or MY 09?
I can get a MY 08 for $16,000 off MSRP *AND* 3.99% financing for 66 months.
-or-
$6000 off MSRP on a MY 09 with standard financing/leasing rates.
What do you all think? I am leaning towards the 09, but the deal on the 08 seems like it's too good to pass up.
I am still stuck on color too. Pewter or Silver? Geeshh, I can't think for myself at all. It really isn't a hard decision. But for some reason I can't make up my mind, LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! How is Malaysia? Weather here in SoCal is rainy.
Yeah, I am leaning toward the 09. I like the new changes.
If I go with the Pewter I want black int. The dealer has found only two Pewter/Black combo's and they are in Washington. He is going to find out tomorrow if either dealer will let one of them go.
cjh - I have only seen the Pewter once in person. Does it take on a brown tint or does it mainly look gray?

Get the 2009 in Pewter. Very Pretty. Park Place in Dallas has a pewter GL450 P2, running boards, 19 inch wheel(no run flats). Looks great. Jeff

I agree it's hard not to go with the 09 since it has the new command, mirrors, etc.
Given the numbers, it looks like you might purchase instead of lease. In that case, the only consideration for an 08 would be if you are a high mileage driver. If you are a 20,000 mile a person drive you might get better trade/resale value. Three years from now it might look better to have an 08 with 60,000 miles vs an 09 with 60,000 miles. And of course the 10,000 difference is ALOT of money.
Just trying to give a different perspective, but I might go for the 09.

Washington wouldn't let go of the Pewter I will check out the one in Texas. So now I have to decided between Silver on Black or White on Ash.

We have an 08 320 CDI, Pewter/Macadamia and love it. We just completed our first long trip with our four boys... Atlanta to Chesapeake Bay and loved the comfort of our GL. We use our NAV and SAT all the time and don't have problems figuring it out. I know the new COMMAND is better but the old one is fine. I would save my dollars and take the 08.

Very interesting, discounts being what they are I'd think most dealerships would be willing to give them up, but maybe it's a swap and they like the pewter better.
I assume your buy back requires you to purchase from your CA dealer? You could call the Washington dealer and see if 1) you could convince them to transfer it, or 2) buy it from them directly if your buy back allows it.
Nevada Jack buys his MB's in Colorado instead of Las Vegas

08M3SedanSki-I have the 08 now and agree the SAT and NAV are nice and easy to use. The 09 added some really nice features, one being HD radio and SAT. I didn't get to play with the NAV to much because the salesman was having fun playing with the stereo =) How does the Macadamia hold up with the kids? The one I looked at yesterday the carpet was hammered just from test drives. I have 3 kids and have always stuck with black.

I'm responding from my storm BlackBerry.
Sounds like Washington isn't going to be an option. I have mac inside of mine and it is harder to keep clean. I might suggest trying weathertech liners to keep the floor clean, but expect more work keeping it clean.
The storm works pretty good for this!

MomsBenz-
I have mac inside and four kids (plus one on the way) and weathertech is a must. You should still plan on soap and water for the seatbacks at least once a week. And carpet cleaner once a month.

Thanks Lucky! I will look into the weathertech. I am still afraid that it is going to get ruined with snow/rain/mud. I should probably stick to black, LOL!

Yup, Mac interior isn't too easy to keep clean. The MB text makes it easy to wipe down though, I wonder how much harder it would be with the real leather? I think all the color options are difficult though! The black in my C350 is especially a pain, as it gets light scuff marks all over the place.

The first thing I did was purchase the heavy duty rubber floor liners from weathertech.com. They are custom fit and I purchased for all three rows. I also bought a cargo mat. So far the interior still looks brand new. Another important factor... we instituted a WATER ONLY drink rule for the kids in the car.
