TPMS Sensors on GL 550 21" wheels

Are the 21" AMG wheels supposed to have TPMS in them? I recently purchased a used set of these wheels/tires for my '07 GL 450. Installed them, they look awesome but, my GL is giving me a TPMS error message. So I guess the 64 dollar question is are there TPMS sensors in my wheels? Does anyone know if they come with TPMS when new?
Thanks, Eric

You'll never get the sensors when buying the wheels used.

Wheels in general don't "come with sensors." Sensors ($150 each) are a separate installation.

Sensors are installed in all models of all cars for 2007-on because it's a legal requirement.

You were not well-treated by whoever the cheapo tire installer was that you used. They should have attempted to sell you senors or a least advised you you didn't have any and were going to have a problem.

Are these sensors reusable? Can you take them from one set of rims and put them in another? or is this a "single use" type of item/sensor? Thanks....

Yes you can transfer the old ones to your new wheels.

Thanks for all your help. I'm going to call MB on Monday and get a part number (for the GL with 21" AMG wheels) then try to shop for a set on eBay.

You can buy repair kits for about 25$ each to transfer your original sensors.

I'll keep that in mind in case I can;t find a set of TPMS at a reasonable price. My thinking was I'd leave the set I have in my "standard" wheels in case I ever needed to use them again.

Don't waste your time.

Mercedes parts aren't for sale on eBay.
