HID Swap

My aunt just traded her gl450, for a new one. She didn't realize that not all MB's come with HID's. She is not happy. How difficult is a full HID swap? Are the self leveling OEM HID's plug and play? The car will probably be back at the dealer by the end of the day, but I told her I'd do a little research first. TIA

Thanks for the link, but I know there is absolutely no way she would accept a conversion. We'd have to do the entire headlight housing at 100% OEM spec. We couldn't have random wires running to the battery or anything like that.

Well she didn't sell the car. Can anybody help me with this? Is there any place that sells OEM MB parts that don't cost dealership prices?

eBay, if you're lucky enough to find those particular parts. Other than that, not those parts.

So are the OEM's plug and play?
I've read that you have to go to the dealer to have it programmed however the wiring harness can't handle the new current load
This light issue stopped me from buying a CPO
