Funny ... My daughter just dropped ours in a cup of coffee passing it to my wife. Called the dealer and said they would order a new one for $45.

Or maybe try getting a cheap universal remote that can learn codes - haven't tried this yet, but it would be my next step if we coudn't get a factory one for a reasonable price.

Thanks, I will call them.
Using an universal remote appears to be an impossible task. Almost all of them learn how to operate through power on/off command. Yet, MB's RSE powers through the key below the screen and remote needed only to navigate through the DVDs menu.

Well.. as it turned out when my wife got there, they quoted us for the wrong remote. The right one was actually $215. But, they had gotten one for a new car that was shipped without the battery cover. So, they ended up selling it to us for $15 and we just used the old remote cover since we still had it.

Wont a Harmony 550 or similar work which are available on ebay for like 50-60 dollars. I control 9 different gadgets with that. DOes anyone know the DVD model so that I could check for the gentleman above.

The remote that came with my recent purchase of an 07 GL450 was obviously dropped in Coke or something and doesn't work. It was part # A 164 820 41 85. Does anyone know if part number: B 164 820 41 89 would work? They look the same, but maybe for a newer model that has a different model of DVD player?

Anyone have any luck with a universal remote?

I bought my truck used last March or April, and it didn't come with a remote, so I just bought one on ebay for like $90 usd. The seller I grabbed it from has one more I'm pretty sure. Cheapest one I found after searching a while.

That post was 12-years old, but I just realized I am now missing 1 of my 2 remotes.

The glove box adaptor, is it the old style or the new lightning connector?

Hello; Are you still interested in a tv/dvd remote? I still have it and a phone adapter for connecting bluetooth to vehicle if you are.

Thank you. My apologies, I thought you were talking about the cable that connects an iPhone to the COMAND system. I have the old style connector and would purchase the lightning connector if you had.

I can live without having a 2nd remote, but if your price is right, I may bite. What do you want for the remote?
