ParkTronic question,
I have an 08 GL320, new to me. I have searched the site and can not get confirmation on whether there is an audible warning in addition to the lights. On my vehicle the lights work for both front and rear sensors, but there is no beeping at all. Is it supposed to beep? Thanks.

If it is a FACTORY installed system then it should beep, but only as it approaches the red indicators (very close to object). To check if it's a factory system compair the look of the display to your owners manual.
There is a fault with the system if it doesn't beep when the red indicators are lit up.

will try getting closer
MB factory Stock ParkTronic.
I have not yet gotten close enough to see the red indicators, filled up just about all of the yellow indicators, but don't recall getting close enough to see red ones.

you can test it out by asking someone to stand in front of the car while you sit in the driver's seat and put the car on "D" (but keep your foot on the brake of course, haha). This should set off the sound.
if that doesn't work, even if they're touching your front bumper, then it is not functioning properly.

Definitely beeps. Starts with a beeping on and off and then to a steady noise when you get real close. Drive into the garage and stop when the beep turns steady and you're about 6 inches away from the wall.
