Fog Lights Retrofit
I am wondering if anyone tried to replace round fog lights with oval ones. I really like the look of the chrome trim around the fog lights but it is only available for oval lights. I have two pieces of chrome trim (that was sent to me in error) and tried it in place of my current black trim. It fits the bumper like a glove and the only difference is the shape of the fog light. The oval fog lights aren't that expensive and I was wondering if its possible to pull out the round ones and replace them with oval.
Anyone?

Just finished changing the round lights to oval. Super easy upgrade and not outrageously expensive. I found oval fog light on E-Bay for $129 including S&H and paid $130 for silver trim. Took me about an hour to do the entire job. The car looks so much better now. I am planning on posting pictures of my original GL and the way it looks after I am done with upgrades.

Completed the fog light retro fit this weekend. Very Easy. see pictures attached. I also did the chrome bumber plate in the rear. Notice before and after on the fog lights.

terp97,
You should consider adding chrome roof rails and chrome window sills. The car looks gorgeous now but would look stunning with those two additions. I've seen it done and it breathtaking.

Thank you
I have considered adding both. I know the roof is a lot of work and cannot be done by me. I know the window seals can be and I have considered doing that one as well. Additionally, I have thought about doing the fender flares but need to save for that modification since they need to be painted. Thanks for complements.

Changing the roof rack isn't that difficult. You will be spending most of your time taking the roof liner down but once it has been removed that install would take you 30 minutes or less. Also, window sills can be easily replaced in less than 20 minutes. They are pretty much snap on.

Terp97- Great looking car. What kind of 22" wheels are those? I'm thinking of getting either 20's or 22's and have been poking around looking at a bunch of replica wheels and mandrus wheels...

Nice looking truck!!!... Damn, it appears great minds think alike! I have a 2009 GL 320 BT, which I too have done a couple of mods (check out my new threads, if you'd like). I went to high school in Alexandria, VA and I must say, your ride definitely has that ''D.C." flare!!!... The rims are definitely "tight"!!!!
