Great article. Just what I needed. But after I remove the CD Changer and put it back (same one, I just need to take the changer out and try to remove the extra CD my four years old shoved inside), do I still need to have MB service center re-program the code?

Tks!

Bump! I recently purchased an 07 GL450 that has no aux input as it has the CD changer as well as the rear DVD system. I really have no interest in the CD changer and would prefer the aux input (to plug in audio from my phone).
Using the instructions linked to above, can I just remove the CD changer and add an aux port, or will the dealer also need to reprogram the Command unit so it knows I no longer have a CD changer?
