illuminated door sills DIYed? stock or aftermarket
I'm not installing the lighted door sills. I need find out the best locations to tap into the footlight wires (on/off with the doors open/close).

All newer benz's have the door trigger wires over CAN network so there is no easy way to tap them (unless you have a car with the footwell lights on the underside of the dash). The benz doorsill kits have a CAN module that provides the outputs to the sill lights.

That's right. I opened the footwell light cover last night, it's hooked by flatwire. It seems pretty easy to tap onto it.
