ABNORMAL TYRE WEAR GL 420 CDI

My 420 CDI in Portugal, now with 24,000KMS (15,000MILES), has a abnormal, wear in all four tyres, on the inner side, about 20% of the top surface. MB Portugal says it is not the GL's problem. I have sent the 4 tyres to the Michelin factory in Spain, and there are no manufacturer defects or recall on this tyres.
Does anyone have similar problems? Any thoughts?

The only time I've had weird tire wear is if my alignment or pressure was off, but it'd be hard to have the inside of each tire wear strangely like that. Which Michelin tire are you using?

Hi Steve. I have 275/50R20 109W 4x4 DIAMARIS MO. These tyres are the originals. Tyre pressure is OK and the car is fine also acording to MB Portugal.
Thanks. Rui

did they put truck on the alignment rack? you have too much camber...

this could be either a pre-condition (bad alignment) or problem with the bladder control...

As you can imagine I do not know what kind of tests they have performed in my car.
I will try to find out and let them know your comments.
Thanks for the help

I've got 22 inch wheels and my tires all wear extremely fast on the inside edge. The dealer said they can't align the bigger wheels because the air suspension will go just go back to default. is this true?

it can be tweaked. however, the dealer will not do it as your wheels are aftermarket so they dont have to accommodate you as if you break/wear out something else in the process it is on them. so... they would rather not touch your setup.

I've had a few independent shops tell me that they can't align the GL's because of the air suspension. So this isn't correct?

sure they can be aligned. the air suspension tries to keep the truck at specific height. at that particular height the suspension can be aligned just like any other vehicle.
