Any deals on 2009 GL550?

As the 2010 GLs are rolling in, can one expect much of a discount on any remaining 2009's?

I don't know how rare the 550's are. I've seen one demo with 4500 miles on it for 12-14k off MSRP of 86k. So 72k for a 2009 550 loaded. Good deal?

Also considerding a 2009 gl320, but I like the looks and driving experience of the 550. Used gl320s with the options I would want are 68k.

Move on the 550 - any dealer in their right mind is going to heavily subsidize an 09 to move it...

I'd say if you weren't getting at least 15% off at this point from MSRP something is wrong.

2-3 months ago mbusa was doing a 10k marketing support rebate from the manufacture to dealer. iirc they took it away in october.

i was able to get a new 09 gl550 85k msrp for 65k before tax and license. 72k out the door with california tax and license. another member on this forum got an additional 2k off since there was a promotion with the mercedes fleet program.

Wow, 65K! I'd take that in a heartbeat. Currently we're at 72k. List is 86k. I am a USAA member and I've heard of a discount through them although I'm not sure how it works.

Additional $2000 off for being a USAA member.

So 2009 GL550, MSRP of 86k, for 70k. 4500 miles on it. Not sure if there is any more wiggle room left. Its the only one they have on the lot.

since its the last one on the lot, you won't have much leverage as they will be pushing that demo to 2010 gl buyers looking to save a bit more.

try offering $68k for it. if they are stuck on their price, ask them to throw in a large mercedes cargo box if you do the 70k. i always try to get something extra thrown in regardless of how much i negotiated down the price.

for my 65k 550, i got them to also throw in all 3 rows of the all weather floor liners at no charge.

good luck!

My other deal didn't work out and I have not been able to find any more new 2009's left. So now I'm forced to look pre-owned. Most pre-owned low mileage GL's are going for 70-75. I found one with 20k miles on it, very clean and it is loaded. For 66k. From what else is out there, it seems like the best deal. Its not CPO, but most CPO trucks are 72-75.

Anyone know of any better deals out there currently?

2010's are 86k and they will only come down to around 81-82k. I don't want to pay that much.

is the 20k mile the white one in Addison, TX? Looking on cars.com, that is about the best as it gets pricewise in their entire listing database.

Might just have to wait around. I would def hold out rather than buy a 2008 given the major tech upgrades on the navi/etc

Yes, that's the one. Ended up pulling the trigger on that one. Very clean vehicle. Loving it so far!

2008 was never an option because of the COMAND change.

Obsidian black was our first choice, but those are hard to come by unless you order new. White was a good choice.

We're happy with this one.

Wow...GL550s going for less than GL350s (albeit 2009 vs. 2010)?

Yes, my local dealer had a used 2009 GL320 turbodiesel listed for more than I paid for my GL550. Granted it was CPO and had fewer miles, but it was not as near equipped as the 550.

I really liked the mpg's of the diesel, but couldn't resist the 550.

awesome - enjoy it.

I have obsidian black and not only is it very hard to keep clean (Im sure the white is too), but surface scratches show very easily. I use lambs wool mitt for washing, two buckets, and the best waffle weave microfiber for drying but I still have some scratches on the paint. I'm thinking the dealer might have done it when they washed the vehicles on their lot and I was too naive to notice b/c its really only "obvious" in certain sunlight conditions. Oh well - great choice nonetheless. you'll love it!
