Pulled trigger on GL350 BTC

Went ahead and sealed the deal on a 2010 GL350 in Artic White with P2, Parktronic, Rear seat entertainment, Running boards, Lighting package, Trailer hitch, and Wood/leather steering wheel.

Got 6% off MSRP (neither great nor bad...about $860 over invoice) and took advantage of the 2.9% financing for 36 months. Hoping to see if MB Finance will credit back the deposition fee on my S550 which I turned in 60 days ago. Used an MBCA loyalty card as part of the deposit. Also got the prepaid maintenance (peace of mind insurance) and gap insurance (one never knows). Dealer threw the prerequisite mats and rear tray along with home pick-up for service.

LUCKY!!!

Congrats on the new SUV.
I have started looking for a 2010 GL350 after my 2009 GL450 was in an accident. It is extremely difficult to find a car like this in SoCal. The best one I found was a Black/Black (non metallic) with P2, Rear Seat Entertainment, Running Boards, Trailer Hitch, Wood/Leather Steering Wheel. I have been looking for one with Lighting Package but there are none in SoCal. Well, anyways...ENJOY!

Please be aware of the mandatory pictures of the cool new ride requirement! If we don't see the pictures, we'll have to act like the ride doesn't really exist. You see, we pretend we're all here to help each other out but what we really want to do is drool over each other's new toys!

Ok, ok. Here is a (not so good) iPhone photo taken pre-delivery. I wanted to wait till it stopped raining here in CT to take a nicer photo. It was taken on Dec 24 after the dealer placed the car in the holding area so no one else would take it. I guess GL350's are hard to come by in the Northeast and even more so being close to the end of the year (everyone's trying to take advantage of the section 179/accelerated tax incentives).

BTW, I got 28.5 mpg on the way home yesterday...all highway driving. I am averaging 24 mpg combined suburban/urban/freeway. Although I was unable to find one with Leather Package, the interior does have some leather ("leather seating inserts") and if cost is reasonable I may install LED ambient lighting (only under the door handles which will require a replacement of plastic metal looking pieces).
