Does anyone know if leather seating surfaces is standard on the GL350? On the builder at MBUSA.co is appears that MB-tex is the standard upholstery. Thanks.

I believe the MB-Tex is standard on all GL models except the 550. On the 350 and 450 you must upgrade to the leather package.

It is a bit confusing because the builder and descriptions on MBUSA.com say MB-tex. Yet on the GL350 I secured yesterday the window sticker says "leather seating surfaces" as no cost and the car does not have the Leather Package. But unlike the Leather Package the car does not have ambient lighting or comfort headrests.

MB: C320 (2005) and '07 GL 450; Porsche: 911SC (1979), 997S (2006).
Two different scenarios: I have a GL450 with MB-tex interior, and the entire seat is in MB-tex; I also have a sedan (C320) also specified as MB-tex interior, but the center portion of the seat cushions and the backrests is in the typical MB perforated leather. I believe the "leather seating surface" is an intermediate option between MB-tex and full leather, and is supplied in certain models as standard. My sedan was a "luxury" version of the model, and it got the leather seating surfaces. By the way, the gearshift boot and the steering wheel are also in leather.

Thanks fgv1it. The deal almost fell through when I found out that the car did not have the Leather Package but was glad to see at least that the "seating surfaces" had leather. Odd that the online configurator and brochures (and even the dealers) were unaware of the leather seating surfaces as standard on at least my GL350.
