Setting up Bluetooth and my BB Storm2
I just paired up my BB Storm 2 with my 2007 450GL. I noticed that none of my contacts show up. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong.
Thanks,
Al

I have a Storm2 and it works fine....most of the time. I have about 200 contacts (most with home, office and mobile numbers for each contact. It takes a couple minutes to 'transfer' that amount of data to the comand system. I've seen some glitches where it fails once in awhile, but >95% of the time it works.

First place is to check the "Bluetooth Options" setting on your CrackBerry device for the paired device to see if correct permissions are set to download the contacts/address book.
And you run into the situation that not all contacts can be downloaded because the address book is too large, try downloading only certain categories, again chosen in the Options section.
Hope this helps, good luck!

You've probably tried this, but throught it was worth sending just in case....
On the Storm2, click on "manage connections". Scroll down to "Bluetooth Options" and click. This should open up a screen that shows all your bluetooth paired devices. Hit the blackberry button, which should open up a menu that has "help, disable bluetooth, connect, add device, delete device, device properties, transfer contacts, options, etc" Click on 'options'. This should bring up a window called 'bluetooth options'. For the 'contacts transfer' does it say 'all entries'?

Thanks Jim,
I do have it set that way and it still will not load the contacts. When I go to transfer contacts, it states transfer failed. Any other thoughts?

I have no clue then. I have 200 and they all transfer. I have a 2007 GL with the bluetooth puck in the center console. My GL was built in 1Q07, so not an early model. Wonder if the puck had a change from BT1.0 to BT2.0 or something?

Jim,
How can I tell which puck I have or if there is a difference in pucks? My 450 GL was built mid 2006.

If you pull the puck out of the center console and turn it upside down, there is a model number on the bottom. If the last 4 digits are 6131, then you have the newest style. If it says 5878, then you have the second to last generation, which should allow the contacts to be transfered. I believe the first generation was like 5838, or something like that, which have been known to not allow newer BB's to transfer contacts. The GL will hold up to 999 contacts, so you should be good.
