GL 350 Bluetec

Hood Release?

350 GL BT...cant open hood, there seems to be a lever in the middle right under the nose of the hood...but no matter how I push it up or down...the hood does not open. Help!

Push up on the release latch. Once it is fully pressed upward, lift up on the hood itself while maintaining pressure on the latch. The latch is just beneath the MB emblem.

The no start/low battery issue requires a programming change. Had the problem, now it's gone 13000miles without that problem.

What kind of programming change Dean P? I've just put the 3rd battery in my 2010 GL350 and am getting fed up. Problem seems to be getting rapidly worse. Please help!!

I've got the same "white" message occurring regularly now with "cooler" temps (for Cen Cal at least).

I own a 2010 GL 450.for sometime,it's been reading auxilliary battery malfunction which disappears after few minutes of drive
It got worse when suddenly the ignition refuses to shut down and does not respond to any command.after almost an hour,the engine shut down but wasn't responding to any command.
After a bit, it reprogrammed itself and was working perfectly only to have the same thing repeat itself again.
What can I do?

for what its worth, I found out the KeylessGo has two settings: 1st press is accessory power, radio, windows, REST,etc. similar to key position 1. 2nd press diagnostic+ ON similar to key position 2. If you hit the button without stepping on the brake, the car electrical is on and engine is off, slowly draining the battery. Also I would check the rear DVD player, if equipped, to see if there is a video playing, that would drain a battery. Courtesy reading lights left on will also drain a battery. If battery life is an issue, check the alternator, the voltage regulator will often be a culprit of undercharging the battery. Remember AGM batteries are not Deep Cycle and not meant for long accessory use. Don't leave the headlights on for too long without the engine on. Frequent short trips will not provide enough charging time. REST will drain a battery.
