Command "Locking Up" & Turning Off/On Unassisted
2009 GL320
This week my Command started "locking up". I was unable to change from Disc to Radio or Nav. etc.
The bluetooth
drops calls and the Command shuts off and restarts by itself.
Off to the MB doctor on Monday.
Has anyone had this problem?
What was the cure?

At the bank today the motor would shut off but the radio etc. stayed on & I could not lock the doors.
10 Min later I came out & it was all still on.
The car turned 8 months & 10,000 miles today.

My 09 command has locked up 2 or 3 times in 11,000 miles. Again, I just shut command down and restart it. It hasn't seemed to get worse so I don't think I'll worry about it until it does.

Having the Bluetooth drop the call is the most frustrating part.
At the start of my day I drive for an hour.
So "GiL" is my rolling office.
Right now I don't trust it, when the phone rings I turn off the Command & answer the phone "old school".
Outbound calls using the handset is dangerous trying to fine people in the dialer.
Will let you know how it goes at the dealer on Monday.

I had the same problem, sometimes with doors locking and unlocking as well. It was the glowplug relay, as strange as that sounds.

snip I had the GL at the dealer today because the parking break lever came completely out of the dash when I went to use it this morning. They had to replace the whole assembly. Kinda frustrating for a $73,000 car to have parts coming off in your hand when it is only a year old!![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

Back on the road yesterday, after an overnight stay.
The C300 4matic loaner is not my cup of tea.
But the price was right, free.
A 6+ hour software update seems to be the cure.
So far so good.
As an extra added bonus...
Lines in the backup camera view, I like them!
Traded in after 60,000 miles an '05 Escalade that I liked very much.
The GL320 is better in every way.
My dealer is outstanding compared to the combo Chevy/Cadillac GM shop.
Here is hoping for 50,000 more trouble free miles.

on your repair order paperwork, does it give you more details on the software upgrade to include the parking lines while in reverse?
my dealer has been trying to find it with no avail. thanks
