More phone options for a 2010?
I'm going to get a new smart phone shortly to replace a Blackberry Storm that runs in "Paperweight Mode" most of the time. I never did get it to pair properly with my '07's Bluetooth puck.
Just recently got my wife BB Curve, and was browsing the other Verizon options. The Droid units seem pretty nice, but I don't see them listed at all on the MB phone compatibility chart.
Anyone tried a Droid? Or, recommend another compatible smartphone with a large keypad?

I had a Storm and now have had a Storm 2 for about 5 months. Storm = POS, Storm2 = decent smartphone. I don't think I've done a battery pull more than 3-4 times in the time I've owned it, vs 3-4 times per week with the Storm.
Both connected just fine with my 07.

I'm using the Motorola Droid. Speaking of which, for the past month I'd say, on occasion when I go to make a call or answer a call with the steering wheel, the phone itself comes on but the call is not transmitted through the speaker system in the car. In addition, when I go to hang up, the cell phone hangs up but command continues to show a call in progress. I have to turn off command and reboot because the phone system is frozen. I have a feeling that it is a command problem considering that everything worked flawlessly for over 6 months.
One bit of advice on the Droid, my wife (who has one too) and I have found it unintentionally dialing after completing calls. We figured out that we were touching redial buttons for previously placed calls which show up all along the edge of your screen every time you end a call. For some reason, Google programed the software to show a call log screen after every call. It could get you in a lot of trouble if you weren't careful. Other than that, I like the phone.

Thank you for the information. The Droid looks like a great phone. I have always had Blackberry, so it feels weird to be trying something new. My upgrade is available next week so I guess I will venture out and try the Droid. Thanks for the tip on the redial, that would be awful

I picked my wife up an HTC Incredible last week (well we actually ordered in in May but it has about a 3 week backorder).
Moto Droid owners are selling their brand new phones on Ebay and purchasing the Incredible at retail price ..it is a fantastic phone and I recommend over the Droid. Better camera, thinner phone, no useless tactile keyboard, AMAZING screen, great call quality, fastest data/web surfing I've seen.
I'm stuck with a BB Tour and cant wait to upgrade to an Android phone. BTW I work in the wireless industry - just give the Incredible a look before purchasing the Droid.
