Question Folding mirrors out off sync - how can I fix this?

I have a GL produced in 2007, and decided to change the rear view mirrors to the new facelift version. I got a pair from eBay, and have installed them, but I have a strange problem:
- When I fold the mirrors, one mirror goes out and the other one in. Does anyone know how to get them back in sync?
- I also notised that my old mirrors had a black and white connector on both sides, but the new mirrors only have a black connector on the passenger side.
Can somebody tell me what this connector is for? Does it have anything with the tilt in reverse function, as the new mirrors seems to don't have this future?

Hope somebody can give me a little help

Regards
Roy

Sorry I don't have all of your answers, but rather a question.

Did your old mirrors have the tilt in reverse function? I was under the impression that the GL did not have this feature. If it can be done, I want to find out how - I miss this from my Tahoe.

I have this reverse tilt feature on our 07 GL450. I believe it comes with P1 package. However I am not 100% sure about it. refer to the owner manual regarding how much tilt you want and save it in the memory.

Sweet! I thought it did - unless they got rid of it for '08

I'll look it up. Thanks

Yes, the old mirrors have the tilt in reverse function.

Does anybody know where I can find the schematics for the mirrors?

I seem to recall that they took the easy entry and tilt mirror function away for US cars only starting in 2008. After that, you have to program a seat memory, and hit it manualy when you back up.

That makes sense as I tried to program mine using the online manual (my paper manual is still in the mail ) and it did not work.

I do have the easy entry/exit function that moves the steering wheel though. Of course, I don't use that one!

Think you should unplug one until you get the other to same position.

Then reconnect and try again.

I tried that, but it didn't work
But I have now solved the problem:
It turned out that the plug that goes to the motor inside the mirror was forced in the wrong way I don't understand how this is possible, as I doubt the one selling the mirrors have opened them up just to turn the plug arround When I put the plug back in the correct way the both mirrors fold at the same time

I also found out that the white plug is for the auto dimming future. My old mirrors had auto dimming on both sides, but the new mirrors only dim the driver side.
