Congrats!! I still sometimes second guess my decision to go with the black my husband wanted. I wanted the Palladium! They had a GL350 P2 Palladium with every option available but my husband loves how a [clean] black vehicle looks. But every time I see one of those Palladiums...I sigh...and think, if only I had gotten that one...it probably wouldn't have been a LEMON!!!!

Congratulations, girl!

Aww, Tammy, thank you! Well, WHEN MBUSA buys yours back you can switch colors I like black too, but for me it never stays looking as good as the day you pick it up. We live in the mountains and are roads are always wet/snow/dirty so black is always dirty. Your car is gorgeous and I envy those that can keep a black car looking nice! Good luck, I know you will be out of your lemon very soon!!

He has already told me I can get the Palladium if MBUSA buys back this dang thing. (crossing my fingers.) He likes the black but even he is getting tired of cleaning it LOL! We live on a ranch with lots of orchards and fields all around. It's DUSTY around here!

I'm so irritated with my car. Now it's making the weird whining/motor noise even LOUDER now at each stop sign. I think perhaps that the compressor for the airmatic is dying a slow death, because it's running constantly. The way it "peters out" at the end is almost comical.. I want to drive the thing over to MBUSA's president and say, HERE, YOU drive this thing and try not to be embarrassed when you come to a stop. Sheesh!

I haven't updated on my thread recently because I have no news. Parts aren't due in for weeks still and my case manager is on vacation until after the 5th. Sigh..

But I still love the GL and enjoy seeing others get new ones that are perfect!

Hang in there! I just know they will do right by you. Unfortunately it is a long process. Even after they say yes, they will buy it back it takes another 90 days for that to happen. I can feel your pain though. I hated every second of my GL that had problems. I never knew when I was going to be left stranded. If felt like it took forever to get out of it! Just keep complaining and taking it back to the dealer. The more you cost them in repairs, the faster they will get you out of it I would take it in and say the noise is louder and you are afraid it is going to leave you stranded (if the airmatic goes out you can't drive it) I had mine towed in on their dime every time. I live 75 miles from the dealer so didn't like that one bit.

Soon you will be sporting your new GL in Palladium!

Looks sharp. Congrats! If you don't mind, what kind of a deal did you get? Just curious.

Thank you! I keep looking for excuses to go out and drive

We ended up getting it less than invoice...sticker was $72,790 and our cost was $66,450. Invoice on edmunds.com is $67,757. I am very pleased with the deal we got

I will hook you up with my dealership whenever you want! They are a little dealership with small overhead. My husband was impressed with my negotiating skills too We were the last ones there on New Years Eve, I think they were trying to hit a quota! LOL!

Thats hilarious I bought my 2010 GL350 BlueTec last year on New Year's Eve! However, I did not get that kind of deal! I got at most 3 grand off but out the door, the dealer and I settled on a price above the MSRP! Great job

Thank you! When will your 350 be in? We kept going between the 350 and 450 and also the Palladium or Steel Gray. Too many decisions!!!

Hi I love the color. We ordered GL too in December.
We were on the same boat but we had to order new one and wait until April to get it.
Lease was up in 3 month.
Can wait to see your pictures on the daylight.
GL is the best car we ever owned 0 problems in 100000kms.

I bet you can't wait for April to get here!!!

The hubby washed my car today so I will take some daylight shots for you tomorrow The roads here in the mountains have been so awful from all the snow that my car was filthy! I agree, the GL is the best car I have ever owned and can't see myself owning anything else!!!
