07 GL 320 cdi bluetooth compatibility

The original bluetooth puck won't work with my palm pre and suggestions or options. Did Mercedes plan or expect cell phones to evolve? Funny how bluetooth headsets work with all cell phones,yet my expensive vehicle failed in that department.

Also, when it comes to headsets, they don't dial the phone, receive caller ID, download the phone book, that kind of thing. They just answer and act like the mic and speaker.
