Cdi fuel pump issues
Any one else had issues with fuel pumps?
I am on my 3rd, and think the current one is about to go. Driving home last night, the car had almost no power, it couldn't have climbed a significant hill. When you floor it, you can just tell the engine isn't getting more fuel.
I know one of the other failures also happened when it was really cold. It was less than 20* f last night. Not sure if this is a coincidence or a contributing factor.
I know these things have a high and low press pump. Not sure which has been replaced.
The last 2 failures resulted in a tow to the service center.
I have 96k on my 08.

how about a clogged fuel filter? your symptoms are typical.
if you trully have systematic fuel pump failures i would suspect fuel quality problem. change your default gas station... and i assume you dont run biodiesel.

Mine was replaced twice at 20k and 40k miles under warranty. Dealer told me the last fuel pump was a different model than the original and was upgraded. I have 50k on it now and hope I don't need to replace in another 10k when it is out of warranty.
