2010 GL450 or 2011 GL450?
I'm in a bit of a bind. Trying to figure out which of these two CPO vehicles to buy. Are there any notable differences between the 2010 and 2011 model years? Both these cars are in great shape with warranty start dates in within a couple months of each other in mid-2010. Both cars have approx 7K miles. The 2010 model is priced a little higher than the 2011 model but I'm expecting both will be priced comparably after some negotiations.
So, the big question is which car should I buy? Any suggestions on which is a better buy? Somewhat unsure about the Capri Blue paint color. Then again, not sure whether Arctic White is too white. Any technical specs that give the 2011 model year an advantage over the previous model year?
Sorry about all the questions. Hoping I can get some advice/recommendations to help make my decision a bit easier.
Thanks a million!
See specs of the two cars below (blue highlights show what I consider positives in one model vs. the other)

I would take the 2011. I think you are always better off with the newest model year, especially for resale. That is unless you really want the options in the 2010. I have a GL 550 with leather and vent seats. Nice, but by no means necessary.

2010 and 2011 are the same vehicles. I think it all depends on a price and options you'd like to have. If 2010 priced lower at least 7-8% with CPO warranty and you really like those options - get it, otherwise I'd take 2011. For 2011 - I'd preffer brand new instead of used car, unless it's CPO till 100K miles and at least 6 years.

The 2011 model is CPO and priced around $11K less than what the same car would cost new (MSRP) with the same configuration. The CPO car has approx 7-8K miles on it. Original waranty started in June 2010 and runs until 2014 plus the extra year as part of CPO warranty. So the question is whether the 11K discount is worth it given the mileage, etc?
The 2010 model is also CPO and is priced about $5K MORE than the 2011 CPO model but with a few more packages/options on it (i.e. full leather seating, full and active ventilated front seats, chrome accessory). I would only consider the 2010 if the price is at least the same or below the 2011 CPO model. Mileage on the car is approx the same 7-8K miles. Original warranty on the 2010 CPO model started in April 2010 so runs approximately the same length as the 2011 model. So my dilemma with this car is whether the full leather seating package along with the ventilated front seats and chrome accessory package are worth buying this car of the 2011 CPO model? Is MB-Tex decent or leaves a lot to be desired?
At first thought, I am inclined to consider the 2011 for the simple fact that it's a newer model year. Only thing holding me back are the options/packages. Also, any thoughts on Capri Blue paint?
Thanks again!

Chrome accessory package cost about $200 and easy to install by yourself if you want to have it.
Leather seats is the matter of preference. I had 2 cars with MB Tex and like it. It looks new after 3-4 years of ownership and feels good for me.
Capri Blue is nice color, but I don't like it But it's not me who's gonna drive this car ....
Have you looked at brand new cars ? I think MB has nice deals today on GL450 with low financing. My dealer pushed me to buy GL450 instead of GL350 two weeks ago because of some kind of promotion on that model.
Good Luck.

The dealer is refusing to budge on 2010 model so I'm looking elsewhere as well as at new cars. Any feedback on the GL350? Which dealer did you use in the NY area? Thanks for your help!

I used MB of Manhattan and actually picking up my car today at about 11a.m. They were the best at the moment I was shopping. Benzel Bush was second.

Honestly, you should be able to get 10-11% off on a new one so not sure if the used one is a great deal with 8K miles. I would get the 2011 for resale.
