I hope that MB further differentiates the new GL from the ML rather than merely make it an extended wheelbase of the ML/

Gawd, that's awful. I really like the current ML but this, this ain't good.

The interior is very nice, though.

I'm sure lkchris will shortly tell us that it's the most amazing vehicle ever because it's from Mercedes.

Don't like the Ram truck hood. Like the interior. If all else remains the same , we will see a new GL that's identical from the b pillar forward and with like interior.

Agree....exterior looks cheap...reminds RAV4.
I like interior also...reminds me Caddilac CTS style.
Looking at those pictures - I'm glad I bought my 2011 GL.

The exterior of the X166 will not mirror the exterior of the W166 - just like today, the exteriors are totally different (except the front doors). The interiors, however, will be very similar.

Yes, while the exterior styling is definitely an issue that perhaps will not be manifested in the GL (i.e., hope they better accentuate the wheelwells to minimize the overall bulk), I am concerned that the interior may look too Jeep Cherokee/Dodge Durango (especially the center stack).

The center stack is the only piece of the new interior that I think doesn't work. They can do better.

Interesting that they moved the seat controls back to the doors (where they belong, imho).
