I would ask them to explain. I'm sure you will love it and hopefully it will all be over soon.
Good luck.

Best case, you've paid up front for three months of depreciation with no utility in return from this asset.
Why did you do that?

Don't vent. Make sense and get cash back.
Does no good for you otherwise.
I'd ask for money back to cover the depreciation that will have occurred in the time above and beyond the agreed upon delivery period. Financially, that is fair. They took money that you could have put to better use and did not provide the good you purchased in a reasonable amount of time. Brocktoon makes a great point - your car may have been damaged and is being repaired. That's not what you paid for. You paid good money for a new, undamaged car delivered on time.
If the dealer won't give you depreciation or is trying to give you a repaired car, get 100% of your money back and walk. You're going to the dealer to pick this car up (eventually) with the mindset of it being the last MB you'll ever own, the last car you'll ever buy from those clowns, and you can't wait to vent on these guys for taking your money.
I'd love to tell you otherwise, but I don't think this car can dig itself out from the hole you've dug for it. It's a great car but it has its vices. As a result, your service visits and any further interaction with that or any other dealer in Reno will be miserable, and your ownership experience will be a terrible one.
The GL order was placed on March 2nd, 2010, and arrived on May 27, 2010, 86 days or 12 weeks and and 2 days later. There were no storms last year. The output from Vance destined for Reno are shipped by rail to Los Angeles, then by truck to the Bay Area, and finally trucked to Reno. This is not the East Coast. The dealer has no idea of the time of delivery until a day or two before the truck arrives. Did the salesperson not advise you of this?
We've had two MLs and this GL serviced at Reno MB. They are very responsive, do excellent work, and at less cost than the prices seen on this Forum.
A two year warranty extension seems overly generous, considering you offered the salesperson full payment at signing. You made the deal, learn from it, and next time, bypass the floor salespersons and deal with the sales manager. And, just say NO! when the subject of a deposit arises!
