Cargo Liner accessory?
Rick G
How do you like yours and how much "slip" factor does it have? It is textured at all or do items slide all over? I have not been able to find a clear picture anywhere online yet.
I really like the "deep" idea of protecting the sides especially with all the snow we get here.

BTW, the Canvasback's have been available on their website for the 2013 for about a week now. Of interest is the new carpet in the 2013 doesn't bond with the velcro hooks, so anything that uses velcro to attach will need fabric taped to the carpet to attach.

Liner is all about preferences, about the canvasback I can see is alot of protection specially if you have pets, in my case I just need a protection on the floor, enjoy the contours just different taste.
About the difference between X164 & X166 the biggest differences is on the sides at the very rear end 2013 storage openings, older models have molded carpet doors, hook for cargo nets, cover for the truck cargo shade so you can install covers when cargo shade is not in use, also older models have 12V connector in both sides, switch are place in a slight different possition, maybe for this reason canvasback's have to modify the desing, I don't know, the floor area still the same.

Maybe the canvasback people are extending the edges by the rear hatch to cover where the holes are versus the panel doors. The side panels on the canvasback are optional, so I wouldn't think that would be the case, but then again the ordering system might need that to call our a different piece for a X166 vs a X164.
Sorry if you thought I was trying to convince you to go with a canvasback, I wasn't. I totally agree the MB liner and Canvasback suit different applications.

How do you connect the mat to the rear seat? My understanding is that the new carpet does not take to Velcro as well. Did you apply your own Velcro tape? I think I'm going to do the same as you. One other quick question, how difficult is it to get to the storage are underneath the flow where the spare is? I have the small storage option and wondering if its a chore. Thanks!

Yes, you need apply your own Velcro only 2013 model, you can purchase a "black" velcro (no white / beige !) at any hardware store maybe 3M velcro, very easy DIY, about the storage no problem at all but to grab the handle you need to separate the velcro (first section) grab the handle, lift the lid... piece of cake ! just don't pull the velcro to hard.
