Good morning!
My wife has a 2008 gl450 with the comand / Nav radio.
My question is: Can we see, on the display, what song is playing or the call letters of the broadcasting station?
Seems like with all of the technology in this machine that it should be available...(don't have owners manual yet...on order)

Owners manual is available online through M-B I just downloaded one! On our '08 the songs/stations don't display either. But then I haven't given any thought to making that happen either. We usually use the Sirius radio and the only thing that displays is the channel. I did notice when we drove an '11 GLK recently, the Comand displayed the Sirius station, the artist and the tune as a default.

 

Try pressing the # one the keypad - works on E and GLK

 

Press the info button.

Don't think that the '08's have the capability! Funny though...my GMC pick-up does!!?

 

I just checked mine and the info button only appears on satellite radio.

 

Mercedes is about 5 years behind on infotainment (give or take). So no surprise that compared to the sophistication of drivetrain and suspension cabin electronics are decidedly downscale.

 

We have AM/FM in these things??? huh!
