My wife wanted a Supercharger but has settled with a small single turbo. So turbo and tune only. Direct injection and varible valve timing make tuning a turbo a little tricky. Going to have to see how much fuel the stock system can handle. 60-70 hp should be good though.


I bought them from the MB dealer but dont recall each price. I think it was around 550.00 for rear skid plate and bumper top plate. Well worth it to me as the 450 back end looked plain and cheap without it. Now I can see that nice S plate in my rearveiw camera , while backing out. j/k

You're going to be probably the first guy ever with a modded (single turbo) GL450! Sounds very strange since nobody has ever modified their GL for performance gains (not even me).

Let me know how it goes with the gains! And how much faster!

Looks great. Do you have the part numbers for the skid plate, bumper plate and pedals? Do you have any instructions on how to install the skid plate?
