Navigation graphics need updated
I have a 07 GL450 and the graphics for the navagation looks like 1970 technology. I use to have a 2001 s430 and the navagation graphics were much better than my 07 GL450. My friend has an 2010 C class and the graphics are awesome! It looks like its in 3D. Does anyone know of an update or a way to improve the graphics on a 07 GL450?

It IS 1970's technology - welcome to M-B! The best way to update the graphics is to go to an outfit like CarToys and see if they can fit a Pioneer, Kenwood or ANYTHING aftermarket in the space previously occupied by the COMAND. Lots cheaper and a LOT more functional.

The COMMAND system in my 2011 GL350 is a fu cking J O K E!!
If I had known how bad it was I might not have bought the vehicle. Its pathetic for a $70K vehicle. Now I understand why the dealer was so anxious to give me $7K off sticker. That and the sh itty run flat tires have me a bit disappointed. Wheres the German engineering?

You might want to check your DVD to see what year the maps are. It's not going to help the graphics, it's still outdated, but I seem to remember one of the DVDs did give a modest improvement, but I can't swear that's the truth.

I heard through my salesman that MB isn't going to offer RSE in the MY13, rather are outfitting with the ipad tablet docks. Also rumors are the runflats are gone in MY13 too. I'm hoping MB offers a much improved COMAND system in the MY13, but I'm not holding my breathe.
