When replacing air compressor. Look over the Main Feed Electric Wiring harness.
on our 2011 GL450 found the lead wiring pigtail to the air compressor was melted and deformed. This explains low ride hight. As the compressor would run Sporadically. I purchased a new connector and the 2 new lead wires needed for this fix. Ordered @the Mercedes-Benz dealer. So far so good 👍 Large pigtail wire conector to air compressor is BURNT bad. Giving me issues with thinking i had a bad compressor
I apologize for bringing up this old thread. I had a similar issue with my vehicle recently and the reason why the suspension malfunctioned with the up arrow came out and it turns out that the ADS Valve is faulty, the hard part is I had to replace the air strut too to replace the ADS Valve. I came across an in-depth article that may be worth reading. Search for "Mercedes-Benz Air Suspension Malfunction + UP Arrow on YOUCANIC" and you will see an article that goes over common causes and possible fixes. You can read about it yourself. I hope this information can assist someone else with a similar issue.
Hi I have Airmatic malfunction, but the back two tires are in full height mode.
I had some tire work done, and the tech needed to put the X164 GL550 in jack mode. Can we reset Jack mode?

no, such thing as jack mode, what did this guy tell you?
His tech was doing something with the dash and radio keys. Maybe turned of suspension control to individually jack up the car to swap the tires. So some access to a hidden menu for tire swapping?
It’s possible to interface with the maintenance menu and put the car dynamometer mode, but no such jack mode has ever been proven to exist in the x164. This is not a Citroen where you can balance the car perfectly on three wheels. Sounds like OP got taken for a ride.
What probably happened here was that they jacked up the car while it was in raised mode, and maybe overtraveled the height sensors on the rear wheels, causing the *** to stick up in the air. Computer thinks everything is hunky-dory because sensor say right height is proper.
I would’ve loved to have those mechanics come tell me what Jack mode is.
