Yes but the GL550 comes with many options as standard as well as the AMG appearance package.

Quick question; with option 322 pkg Appearance Package , it comes with 20" wheels and tires, can you get good all terrain one since I live in Alaska and really don’t want run Flats?

The best answer I can give you is that it is available with the 322 package. See the attached .jpg

At NY auto show, 2013 GLs equipped with 20" wheels had run-flat tires on them.

FYI: The Mercedes Germany website has added the 2013 GL to its configurer. Not much new but you can now see each GL model (including the GL63) in each color offered. German pricing is also listed.

Saw that. MB in Germany wants €130,305 Euro for the base GL63. Using the handy dandy conversion calculator, it is over $164,000 US.

True, but looking at the German euro price for other models compared to the U.S. prices for those same models and it looks like a U.S. price for the GL63 of around $115,000, or slightly more than a well optioned (with Performance Pack) ML63. If MBUSA were to go any higher, I would have to look again at the GL550 as I would have a harder time justifying the price difference.

I really want the GL63 but I will wait for someone else to take the initial depreciation. It should depreciate a hell of a lot in the first two years.

Can anyone tell me if the surround view camera system/Parking assist is available for order my dealer says no however it shows on the German 2013 site; funny since they are built here!!! I really want to order the GL550 but I want the surround view camera. Thanks

According to the Canadian Dealer Ordering Guide, the surround view is standard on all GL models.

My dealer tells me, and I read somewhere, that some options, per the usual MB supplier bs, are delayed-availability. Surround view not available til the spring is what I was told....even if you spec'd it on ordering day, the car will get built without it. Was also told the limited supply of these options would go to Euro and Canada first...

Also seems the diesel build dates are getting pushed out until late winter...February probably. I was going to order but want my GL to come with all my desired features!

I couldn't get an answer on the surround view/park assist seems that MB is doing what they want and leaving this option off the GL until the remainder of the world gets theirs. Built in the good old USA and available everywhere else except here. Sounds like the R Class; built in America and available to the rest of the world. If there was another option I would buy it. The GL550 with every option is going to sticker for about $110,000.00 and they think we (I) will spend that kind of cash and not have the options I want, they better think again. No wonder we're in the mess we're in.

I am looking at the new gl350 and I seen the pictures with the AMG kit is that going to be a add on here in the USA?
Hands down the GL'S with the AMG kit are better lookin then the normal ones....
