Good to know. What about a few missing black rubber circles on the running boards? Is there a way to get just a few?
Those are most likely the top covers of the compressing bolts that sandwich the cover onto the frame. You need those!

When I did this on the drivers side, which I hadn't messed around with already - it was very easy - the new running board popped right on. Perhaps an hour total on this side.
I think I must have bent the clips on the passenger side trying to do it the "right way" - it was still pretty much a nightmare but I got it done in the end. Probably spent four hours struggling with it all in all.
Running boards are now installed and look good. Definitely some small funky fit issues here and there, but all in all for $200, I cannot complain...
That was some commitment! How your fingers feel? Mine were close to numb by end time I pulled all the clips off!
Does it go through to the bottom? If so, it should be easily visible that it's the screw that's missing. You can see from the other screws and plastic inserts what the piece looks like. I don't know if you can get from the dealer or if it's OEM or after market.

Ah, yes. Just looked. It's only the ones that goes through to the bottom. Allen head on the bottom side on all. It's just tops that are missing. Two on one side, one on other.
The boards looka little dingy looking. Haven't tried to clean them yet. Hopefully they come more clean. If not, can you just buy new tops?

Oh good, so the screws are still in place! That's good, but sorry, no idea if you can get the little rubbber covers. Quick fix would be to paint the plastic ends black till you find covers!!!
