So I've been reading the DIY tutorials buy BlownV8 and others regrading the HID conversion. Can anyone w/ experience point me to the an eBay auction that actually has the "metal bases" and the "built in resistors?" I am looking for a true plug and play solution so i don't have to source out parts. Thanks all in advance.

 

Our GL has HID, but I did it for my E class. I don't think there is any difference between these two models and their lights. It was plug and play and was done by these guys :

6000K or 8000K ?

thanks. called they said they are $50 a kit. and this month they are offering free upgrade to slim ballast.

anyone installed in GL? any flickering? how about the reliability?

 

You can use any generic kit from ebay plus 3500uF(I think) 35V capacitors from radioshack. This is what I've done to all of my current and previous MB vehicles.
