Out Of Control!!
I bit the bullet and bought an Autel Maxisys MS906TS. I didn't want to buy a Star/DAS because that's only Mercedes and we have a BMW as well. Seems like a better value to be able to work on all makes/models. So far I've only used it once and diagnosed a bad air compressor on the Airmatic system. I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of it on this vehicle alone. It's a pretty slick setup with a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into the OBD port and a tablet that hooks up to Wi-Fi.
It certainly provides a lot more data than my old scanner.
I would recommend it to anyone needing to read euro cars at the shade tree mechanic level.
