Auction help

Thinking of trading my 2008 GL450 for a 2013 ML350. I expect the bend me over dealer price to be at or above Anaheim auction price. Any one here have access to Anaheim numbers for the last few months? 35000 miles. Thanks in advance

Why would the dealer buy your truck at auction price? This represents risk for him. He will offer you trade in which is at least a grand or two below auction prices. Remember- dealer pays auction fees which eat from th auction price the vehicle fetches.

Based on my recent experience - dealer pays even less than auction price, much less. For example - my car is 2011 GL350 with 16K miles can be sold on auction for about $52K-$54K. Dealer offered me $47K 3 weeks ago.

Low mileage Diesels don't go to auctions, but are cpo'ed and sold by th dealer. New tires and brakes are required for cpo before dealer can offer vehicle to the public. Hence the low ball offer.

Gasoline gls are depreciation black holes. They are usually sold at auction.

This is right on the money for a 2011 in excellent condition with about 25-30k miles.
