Anyone have a fix to the trunk not opening manually ( inside or out of truck) nor with the door switch...

I hear the hydrolic pump trying to open but sound like the release latch isnt releasing

from reading the forums I hear #1 issue is the release not releasing.

Has anyone fixed it them selves?

i locked unlocked and played with the fob a few times then let it sit and it opened and works all of a sudden

I had the same issue and got it fixed by the dealer for free under warranty.

What was the problem? How much was it to fix? I am having same issue with 2007 GL450.

If it sounds like it wants to release but can't this will solve the problem. If the pictures worked you will see the culprit, (latch). The Black button is the beeper. I tried to disconnect it but the hatch stopped working when I did. I'm sure you can bypass the wiring somehow. I just put some tape over the hole and it is much quieter now. You will probably have to order some new plastic tabs. I broke about 3 in the removal process.

What a joke for the price of this car.. ive had this issue also on and off and its very irritating. Are you sure its a part that needs to be replaced and not just a programming issue?
