GL TRUNK WILL NOT OPEN
Anyone have a fix to the trunk not opening manually ( inside or out of truck) nor with the door switch...
I hear the hydrolic pump trying to open but sound like the release latch isnt releasing
from reading the forums I hear #1 issue is the release not releasing.
Has anyone fixed it them selves?

I did this myself. It's the latch. Part # A 164 740 07 35 It cost under $250.00. http://www.everythingbenz.com/z/part...00735-mercedes
If it sounds like it wants to release but can't this will solve the problem. If the pictures worked you will see the culprit, (latch). The Black button is the beeper. I tried to disconnect it but the hatch stopped working when I did. I'm sure you can bypass the wiring somehow. I just put some tape over the hole and it is much quieter now. You will probably have to order some new plastic tabs. I broke about 3 in the removal process.
