Where is the Voice Control Module located?

The activation menu does not show up in the Command system settings display and I get no beep when pressing the steering wheel buttons.
The car is supposed to have Voice command. It is on the Datasheet and the instruction booklet is in with the owners manual.
I am wondering if the module died or maybe the connector came loose.
The previous owner said he never used it.

OK, found the unit (I think).
It is under the back seat with the other audio electronics.
From what I can see without removing anything, it seems to be mounded under an open bracket (Maybe for the rear seat heater controller, which my car does not have) and partially under the Sirius radio module.
I am still trying to verify if the VCS modules with different part numbers are interchangeable.
I have found several references that show multiple numbers for the part.
2038208285; 2118208085; 2118703626; 2408201585
Also, does anyone know if the part needs to be coded to the car, or if I get a working module from ebay is it likely to be plug and play?

It sure 'looks' like teh module but withouit removing it o check teh part number, I can not be sure.
Still wondering if;
1) Could the dealer that replaced the battery have accidentally forgot to program it back on?
2) Could it have failed in a way that makes it look like it is not there (software wise) but still close the fiber loop so everything else works?
3) If I do need a new one, which other part numbers are compatible.

So my next step will be replacing the module, as I can find them on ebay or at recyclers for less than the 1 hour diagnostic charge.
Has anyone swapped out a VCS module?
Any tricks to getting the new one recognized, or does it happen automatically when powered up?
Any words of wisdom????
So far no luck getting the VCS to come back to life during normal service diagnostics.
