How Long to Keep My GL

I'm having a hard time deciding when to dump my GL. I have an 07 with 68k miles. I have an extended warranty that ends in May. The warranty has paid for around $3500 in repairs(air suspension, thermostat, Camplug & Centrifuge). I'm a little hesitant to keep this off warranty. The value of the car has seemed to really tank in the last year or two. I imagine it will keep falling fairly fast. Is now the time to ditch it for a new GL or should I hang on to it?

it is already a $20k give or take truck. how much more the value will "tank"? it will lose about $1k every year from now on. peanuts.

if you dont have the itch for something new, keep it. those trucks age well and the new ones are not so much different in reality.

I hope mine will last at least 10 years for me.

Did the extended warranty cost less than $3,500?

Don't chat with those of us in the X166 forum now who have had one or more X164s. You might get the X166 fever.

I have 09 bluetec and have looked at the x166. Don't really feel I need switch in next 5 years...even though I still haven't fixed the cooler oil leak which I'm planning to DIY in next month or so

Your initial post stating repair costs at already such a low mileage says it all. That's an insane amount of money for things that shouldn't be failing so soon.

I think you know the answer.

But not really out of the ordinary for a Benz or a GL.
