Comand for GL 320 CDI
Hi
I'm new in this forum and say hello to all mercedes liebhaber!
I drive a 2007 GL 320 CDI with 95k. Today the pre glow sign came while I was driving shortly followed by the Check Engine light. The drove meanwhile smooth.
Hopefully somebody has an idea what it could be.
By the way. Excuse my English. I'am German. Regarding this I have a second question. After three years in your wonderful country I go back to Berlin this summer. I will take the GL with me. The comand doesn't work in Europe. I would like to exchange a European comand against the comand build in the GL right now. If anybody is interested please let me know. Thank you!

I would pull the code. (Any CAN compatible ODB reader)
Betting it is a failed Glow Plug controller.
Easy fix for about $135 part.

2008 GL 320 CDI, 2004 VW V10 Touareg TDI
And it might be a simple as a single glow plug failed or failing. The front left one on mine threw the same code the other day. Resistance measured 6 ohms vs 0.5 ohms or less on all the rest. Replaced that one for about $65 USD by my indy. No more code! It is also the easiest glow plug to get at!!
