GL Air Suspension Question.

GL Air Suspension Question.
I have a 2007 gl450 with around 90k miles, i notices the back passenger drops down randomly. if i go to unlock it it will raise itself back up, sometimes it will stay up for days sometime it will drop 20 min after i park it.
My question is, what is failing and is it necessary for me to bring it to Mercedes to have them tell me the exact issue? i plan on replacing both air shocks with arnott air shocks in the back i just don't want to buy these parts for nothing to find out its something completely different. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
thank you!

Happened to me. Your air bag is leaking. You do not have to replace them in pairs, but you need to replace it as soon as possible, because you are over using your compressor right now. I went with OEM bag, if you feel more arnott then go with it =)

I've order (1) arnott bag for my left rear and plan on doing the install myself.
My question is. Should I replace both or just wait until the other starts to leak.
As the writer stated above I love the ride. Whem working a double I generally have to roll down the window to keep from falling asleep (with a ride this smooth). The dealer suggested I chamge both out at the same time. But with the install being so simple and arnott having an ample supply I didn't see the need to purchase 2.

Out Of Control!!
I am in the same boat without a lift.
The only hard part from what I can see, is getting to the air line fitting which is on the inboard side of the bag.
Make sure you let the car down a little onto the wheel before starting up the compressor.
Then let it down slowly so the car can take over without dropping it on a not filled bag.
