Need new tires. Will 18" wheels fit my GL550?
Really tired with 21" Conti and Pirelli. Thinking about downgrading my wheels. I am big fun of Michelin. My question is will GL450 18" wheels fit my 550? I knew, I knew, it is ugly
Thank you!
Thank you!

They will fit with no problems. I use a set for my 550 with snow tires and they bolt right up with no issues. They do look as little funny with narrower tires and they sit a little farther inside the wheel well but having the snow tires on vs the stock 21's is well worth it during the winter.

Anyway, I will give this 275/60/18 a try since: 1, it is Michelin, oh, yeah, finally; 2. it is wider than my initial selection (265), my local store will not install any tires less than 111 (load capacity) for my car, which 265 only have 109 or 110
If they are not good either for performance or looking, I will keep the wheels as winter tire set. Then looking for 19" or 20". But if I can trust my memory, those tires are also expesive (for Michelin), right?

I've tried to switch the tires on my Subaru Outback from the 111 V class Michelin and Costco would not do it. It's a Subaru not an Indy Race car I said! I was able to put BF Goodrich's on it at BJ's. Same with my mini van that had the V radials on it. Some of that I think is pure scamming? At least with the van they allowed me to use a bigger footprint compared to the bicycle tires it came with!
I think I'd trust the Benz to go around the corner at a faster rate than the Subaru! The Subaru was no performance car either!

I also changed my find. Find a replica wheels, check mbworld, and seems have great reveiws for this store. It is 20 inch amg. hard decision for Sliver vs Gunmental. But finally go with silver version.

Now I have to figure it out how to sell the stock 18" OEM wheels which I just purchase on last Friday

I'm on the 21" wheels now but my 450 had the 20" and rode much better.
Some where along the line of lease turn in and the selling dealer the whole tire wheel combo was switched out on my 550. In the scheme of things it was faster to just change the entire deal vs. hunting down the tires. They hire these refurbishing outfits that clean the car from top to bottom. The local dealer wants 1600 bucks a peace for each wheel. Not happening!
The selling dealer has acknowledged the wheels were repaired and has offered to fix them now. One is not too bad the other one is over the cliff already. I've taken the truck to two wheel shops and they both said the one wheel has to be torn down completely where as the other one can be fixed onsite.
I've also been told that the 21" wheels have an issue of cracks and bends.
I'll have the seller dealer fix the wheels. After these expire I'll see where I'm at with this and go from there. I'm not spending any more money on this unless I'm forced to do so.
